Western North Carolina kicks off its annual Strive Not to Drive week celebrating sustainable transportation on Friday, May 15, and you can join the effort with free rides on Asheville Rides Transit (ART) buses all day on Monday, May 18.

New Website Helps Passengers Ride the ART

Asheville Rides Transit (ART) bus passengers can now visit ridetheart.com to plan their trips with up to the minute, easily accessible information. The new site, built and maintained by the City of Asheville using publicly available transit data, is designed to work on both desktop and mobile devices.

Bus service changes due to I-26 construction closures

Due to NCDOT’s I-26 construction closures starting April 16, ART routes WE1, WE2 and W5 will be detoured and stop 154 at Hill and Riverside will be closed.
